A Homemade Video Part 2

Here's another wedding video by Crime Master GoGo. It was shot and edited in the same style as the first one, but has its own feel - full of little moments that are unique to this wedding. Take a look.

A good thing to pay attention to when making homemade videos like this is the music selection. Spending some time picking a song with the right pace and feel for the footage you have can really make all the difference!

A Homemade Video Part 1

Crime Master GoGo/our little brother had quite a busy winter break this year. He was jetsetting off to different weddings of friends and decided to make short wedding videos for them while he was at it.

He shot all the footage on his iPhone and edited it down to five minute clips. Here's a look at one of his videos, and we'll be sharing another one later this week:

We thought it was a great way to show the heart of the affair. Since he was there for everything, he was able to capture the more personal moments that a professional photographer might not have.

The best part about it: anyone can replicate this. Just ask a few friends to keep their iPhones out for fun little moments, and there's bound to be one tech savvy person who can put it all together. It's a quick way to share highlights with family and friends!

High Tea

Speaking of tea, thought we'd share this video by First Kiss Films. It's a South Asian inspired concept shoot based on the tradition of high tea. It has a lot of little details you could incorporate into your very own tea party.

A Rajasthani Affair: Yesha and Vikram

We were immediately hooked when we came across this wedding video by Digitology. Love the stark realism of the video and how Digitology managed to capture a series of quiet moments that come together seamlessly.

The emotion in the video is so palpable, you can't help but feel it too.

Ending the Week with a Video

We wanted to end the week with Reetu and Sunil's sweet wedding from Film Style Weddings, an international photography and cinematography company. Love that they captured the flowing fabric, flickering tea lights, and all the little details in the ceremony.

Have a Great Weekend Everyone!

Vintage 8mm Video: Megan and Mihir

Remember Megan and Mihir's fabulous wedding extravaganza? Well, they also had a wedding video for their hindu ceremony - a clever mix of vintage style 8mm footage set to traditional tabla music - and shot by the talented A Bryan Photo.

We're big fans of 8mm videos, so we were really excited to see an indian ceremony shot that way! Definitely worth considering, especially if you're looking for something a little different.

P.S. We were actually going to do this for a family wedding - just give a couple of 8mm cameras to friends for the night, and then use the footage later to put together a video, complete with an old school bollywood soundtrack (we had the music picked out and everything)....but we ran out of time, and the idea kind of fell by the wayside. We'll just have to do it for the next one!

Bollywood Music Video: Part 1

Sapna and Shawn decided they wanted something a little different, both for their wedding video and their save the date. So Film Style Weddings did just that - they made a bollywood music video! First up we have the teaser that was sent out to all the guests before the wedding.

Bollywood Inspired Cinematography

It seems as though starring in your very own bollywood movie is all the rage these days. Here's a clip from another talented cinematography team - Pacific Pictures.

Anuja and Nirav surprised their guests before their grand entrance at their reception with this bollywood inspired short. It tells the story of how they met (with a few embellishments). It's pretty funny.

Also, is that patient in the hospital the guy from the 40-year old virgin?

The Next Movie Star: You

If you're looking for wedding cinematography of epic proportions, check out Memories in Motion. We came across this clip from a wedding they shot in Chicago. Plus, it's nice to just sit and soak in a music video.

You can choose to work with them to create a short scripted five minute music feature to show at your wedding reception or you can have them film your actual ceremony and reception.
