Today we're sharing a wedding that defines classic tradition. Kiran and Asif's mehndi and barat took place in Pakistan, followed by a valima in San Francisco. The bright oranges, yellows and reds of their mehndi are quite spectacular. And Taimur Ali Ahmed captured these colors perfectly in his own distinct style. You might remember a similar feel from this wedding.
You may also recognize some of the guests at this wedding, it was quite a high profile affair with many people from Pakistan's fashion and television industry attending.
Of course we love the marigolds on the archway - the traditional flower of south asian weddings! And we don't even know how to recreate the huge canopy on the stage but so glad they used it.
Again, another nod to tradition with the veil over the face (gungat) for the beginning of the mehndi.
