In Bloom

Sometimes less is more and all you need is a bloom or two to really make a statement. It's easy, cost effective and certainly makes the above tablescapes striking.

  1. Less is more, indeed, but to make an impact, you kinda have to use more of the "less is more" philosophy - maybe 3 vases per table instead of 1 - but it's still more budget-friendly than having your vases overflowing with blooms.
In the end though, its important to remember there's a fine line between simplicity and cheaping out- stay on the right side of that line! ;)

  2. Yes, you're completely right! To make the look work you do need to invest in vases or have clusters of flowers (which can either be cheap or not). Using ikea vases or old bottles certainly helps.

Another thing we've noticed is the type of flowers you use. Flowers shown above can cost more per stem (peonies/dahlias etc). But that means you can also end up working with interesting flowers as opposed to the familiar, and the accent flowers can be as simple as a bunch of berries.

At the end of the day it's about mixing and matching and figuring out what works for you and your budget...
