A Real Wedding: Khadijeh and Mohsin

Today we're sharing a sweet little reader wedding. The bride Khadijeh is half American half Iranian, and the groom Mohsin is Indian, so this wedding is all about melding traditions. The bride wore a white dress for the ceremony, which involved a sofreh aghd (a spread of items meant to bring goodness to the marriage - each item symbolizes something important; for example, a tray of herbs and spices is meant to ward off the evil eye and a bowl made out of crystalized sugar is there to bring sweetness to their life), and the whole thing is topped off with an Indian style reception. And Alicia Cohen was there to capture it all for us!
